  20.     This is the first officail release of Telix, a full-featured 
  21. communications program that I have been working on for almost a year. 
  22. Telix includes a dialing directory, a host of file transfer protocols,
  23. very powerful script files, a scroll-back buffer, keyboard macros, a dos
  24. shell, session logs, and many other features. Perhaps one of the most
  25. important things about Telix is its very fast operation. Everything Telix
  26. does, it does fast. It usually beats any of the other available comm.
  27. programs on most operations.

  29.     Since it is the first release, there are bound to be bugs. There are
  30. no serious ones, as the program has been tested. The bugs (if there are
  31. any), are all little hidden ones that have never appeared before.

  33.     Due to the fact that I am going on vacation I have released the 
  34. program a bit earlier than I intended to. There are a few features I 
  35. have not had time to finish. You will notice that there is no Telink 
  36. upload for the moment, and that Kermit parameters can not be set. The 
  37. program is very usable however, and should meet the needs of most 
  38. users. Give it a try, I think you'll like it!

  40.     Files included in the TELIX10.ARC file are:

  42.       Telix.exe    - the main program
  43.       Telix.ovl    - the overlay code
  44.       ConfigTX     - the configuration program
  45.       Telix.doc    - the documentation file
  46.       convertf.exe - converts phone directories to Telix format
  47.       Fido.scr     - a sample script file for logging onto Fido BBS's
  48.       Telix.fon    - sample phone directory
  49.  
  50.     Since this is the first realease of Telix, I would very much appreciate 
  51. any feedback from users of the program. Send any comments, suggestions, 
  52. and notices of bugs to me at the above address.

  54.     If you like the prgram and believe in it's future, consider 
  55. registering your use of it. With your support, Telix is going far. I am 
  56. constantly improving and adding new features to the progra.

  65.       - Terminal emulation

  69.         the moment. This one will amaze you.

  73. comments about Telix. Also, pass the program around. This way, others 
  74. will have a chance to try it and give me their feedback.
